Doug Skogman

Creator of The Wind Zero System

Wind Zero Systems

Doug Skogman, a mechanical engineer specializing in the execution of multimillion-dollar projects, applies the same precision-driven mindset and analytical expertise that define his profession to his passion for long-range shooting.

Doug entered the world of F-Class shooting and quickly ascended to the top ranks, helping build Team Vihtavuori, one of the most elite teams globally, as well as joining the USA World Team. His dedication and skill have led to victories at both national and international levels, solidifying his reputation as one of the top shooters in the world.

Beyond competing, Doug also serves as the Long Range Match Director for Bayou Rifles Club, the most dominant F-Class club in the country, known for producing more National Champions than any other club combined. His leadership within the club plays a vital role in fostering high-level competition and advancing the sport of precision shooting.

However, Doug’s pursuit of excellence didn’t stop at competition. Merging his engineering background with his passion for precision shooting, he set out to solve one of the most complex challenges in long-range shooting—wind reading.

After years of development, Doug designed and built Wind Zero, the world’s first multidirectional LoRa wind meter. This groundbreaking system provides shooters with real-time, multi-angle wind data, offering an unparalleled advantage on the firing line.

Yet, Doug didn’t stop there. Recognizing the need for a fully integrated shooting solution, he expanded Wind Zero into an entire ecosystem, developing a cutting-edge wind app with a ballistic calculator, a receiver, and a heads-up display (HUD) system. This one-of-a-kind toolset is revolutionizing how shooters interpret and react to environmental conditions.

For those with early access, the Wind Zero system has exponentially improved shooting performance, giving competitors an edge previously thought unattainable. As a relentless innovator, world-class competitor, and leader in the sport, Doug Skogman continues to push the boundaries of technology in precision shooting, proving that science and marksmanship go hand in hand.
