Wind Zero

The Wind Zero is a tool for monitoring and analyzing wind speed and direction from several locations up to a mile away. It utilizes highly accurate ultrasonic wind meters for capturing raw wind data combined with LORA radio transmitters for long distance data transfer to a central receiver. The receiver is connected by Bluetooth to a Wind Zero app on a tablet or phone for wind data display and analysis. Data can be saved and exported to a .CSV file for use in Excel or other tools.

  • Wind Meters

The instantaneous wind meter data is displayed at the top in a row of circular indicators.

Past data is displayed in three trend charts:
    1. Wind Direction in degrees
    2. Wind Speed in MPH or M/S
    3. Crosswind Value MPH or M/S

  • Wind Value

The crosswind value for each meter is displayed along with the corresponding wind drift value. The drift value is calculated using the crosswind value and the wind drift/mph value. A smoothed value for each meter is also displayed as an outline of the symbol. An Average value for all the meters is also displayed with a rolling Max/Min Bracket.

The wind/drift/mph value can be obtained from your favorite ballistic calculator or one listed on the Downloads page

  • Targets

Wind drift is calculated for up to three different targets based on the average croswind value of all wind meters.
